Home-Prototype-Long

From the prototype to the finished product

A polymer that is made from natural raw materials and has a low melting point? It should be easy to work with! After long and good persuasion, the local kitchen was quickly converted into a test kitchen. The aim was to find out how to mix the polymer, which has a consistency like honey, with the various raw materials such as grass, sawdust, cotton… in order to bring it into different shapes. As a result, the first polymer cupcakes (see above) were made from grass, cotton… Now that we knew in detail how the polymer behaves and have brought it back into a different shape after melting, it was time to devote ourselves to the next step. Fortunately, we can fall back on a team that will find a solution for every problem after a short time. So we found an engineer who was enthusiastic about the idea and thought with us about how to put processing into practice without(!) additional chemicals. After many series of tests, we have developed a process that enables us to mass-produce the material just by heating it up. Now the way was free to manufacture the first products.
